INDOMER COASTAL HYDRAULICS (P) LTD. is the leading Oceanographic Consultancy Company, the only Private Organization of its sort in India endowed with fully backed up the scientific knowledge base and offering full-fledged multi-disciplinary oceanographic services under one roof. This Organization is promoted by a team of Former Scientists from CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Goa. The Managing Director, Dr. P. Chandramohan, has served 25 years in NIO as Scientist and Head of Ocean Engineering Group. The company was formed in April 1998 under the CSIR Entrepreneurship scheme initiated by the then Prime Minister of India to link the Research Institution with the Industries. Today, Indomer has emerged as the best equipped and efficiently managed Institution to undertake Oceanographic Measurements, Seabed Investigations, Offshore Engineering & Design, Mathematical Modelling, EIA studies for statutory clearances, data collection & interpretation, project planning and management etc. Indomer has provided expertise to various Governmental and private sector projects both in India as well as in abroad and it has carried out nearly 600 projects during the last 19 years.

Indomer has obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification and QCI - NABET ACCREDITATION for Sector 27 (Oil & gas transportation pipeline (crude and refinery / petrochemical products), passing through National Parks / sanctuaries / coral reefs / ecologically sensitive Areas including LNG Terminal) and Sector 33 (Ports, Harbours, jetties, marine terminals, breakwaters and dredging) NABL ACCREDITATION for laboratories, and CDC - MoST ACCREDITATION for DPR Indomer has been certified as approved consultant for Fishing harbour development by the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India Delhi and A-grade Hydrographic surveyors by Inland Waterways Authority of India, Govt. of India.

Indomer has EXPERIENCED OCEANOGRAPHERS in different disciplines covering Physical Oceanography, Marine Geology/Geophysics, Marine Chemistry, Marine Biology, Marine Instrumentation, Coastal Engineering, Marine Environment, Mathematical Modelling, Port Planning and Intake/Outfall Design. There are 45 staff members working with extensive experience in operation of marine survey equipments, data collection, computer aided analysis, interpretation and preparation of reports. Indomer, over the years, has emerged as the only private sector organization having its own in-house equipments of latest state of the art technology like Benthos dual frequency CHIRP Seismic Profiler, Benthos dual frequency CHIRP Side Scan Sonar, Elac Multibeam Echosounder, Benthos C3D Multibeam cum Side Scan Sonar, ODOM Dual frequency Echo sounders, DGPS, RTKs, Underwater Positioning systems, ROVs, RDI ADCP Current meters, Aanderaa RCM 9 Current meters, Datawell Directional Wave Rider Buoys, Aanderaa Tide recorders, YSI Water Quality Data loggers. Indomer has carried out the oceanographic investigations for construction of jetty, seawater intake and outfall for more than 80 % of the coal based thermal power plants coming up in India.
